Many thanks to our sponsor Mears Motor Coaches for being a huge part of this successful season. With six wins before the Daytona season finale, SpeedSource had already clinched the Team Championship, the Driver's Championship, and the Manufacturer's Championship.
By the end of the ten race season, Team owner Sylvain Tremblay won the Driver Championship in the Grand Sport class. David Shep and Paul Mears, Jr., president of Mears Transportation Group, completed his season in sencond and third place in the points, with Mears scoring a 1st place finish at Trois-Rivieres.
The SpeedSource #70, driven by Sylvain Tremblay and David Haskell, made its mark in the Grand-Am record books this year, with three poles, fastest race laps at Trois Rivieries; and wins at Phoenix, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Mosport, VIR, Road America, and Trois-Rivieres.
Car #66, driven by Paul Mears, Jr., and David Shep, completed an outstanding season with a season-best first place finish for Mears at Trois Riviries and a second place finish for David Shep at Trois Rivieres as well.
Our Super Grand Sports Porsche 911 Supercup, driven by Selby Wellman, Paul and David, also ran some fantastic races, with a podium finish at Mosport, and a class win at Trois-Rivieres in the Rolex race and win at the season finale at Daytona to cap off the season. Selby was able to claim fifth in the season long Super Grand Sports points standings.
Coming into the season at Watkins Glen, the GS #62 driven by Denis Horne, Sr., and Denis Horne, Jr., placed fourth at Virginia International Raceway and fifth place at Road America.
In Sports Touring, the #67 and #68 Porsche Boxsters were driven by David Tauty, Mark Underwood, and Scott Schlesinger to three podium finishes.
